Xavier Samuel joins the cast of Twilight Saga: Eclipse

It’s official, the Australian actor Xavier Samuel have joined the cast of the third installment to the Twilight Saga, Eclipse. He was reported to play the role of Riley, a newborn vampire who joins the group of newborns created by Victoria to kill Bella. You will be able to see Riley in action when you Watch Twilight Saga: Eclipse Online after it’s release on June 30, 2010.

The Volturi Clan

To all you Twilight fans out there, I’m sure you’re all familiar with the Volturi, the largest and most powerful Coven of vampires in the series… but here’s some great additional info I got from scavenging the web. And oh… you can Watch New Moon Online a few days after it’s official release on the theaters.

The Volturi coven was founded by Aro. When the coven was strong enough, the Volturi usurped control of the vampire world from the Romanian Coven. At some point the Romanian coven tried to regain control, but the Volturi defeated them.

The Volturi have ruled the vampire world for centuries by the start of the series. During that time, they did a number of things to ensure stability in the world, including eradicating the Immortal children and cleaning up after the Vampire Wars in the southern parts of America. At some point, Caius was almost killed in a fight with a werewolf. Becoming terrified of his people’s mortal enemies, he pushed the Volturi to hunt them to near extinction in Europe and Asia.

Alec

Alec is one of the high ranking members in the exclusive Volturi Clan who recruit only powerful vampires. He is the twin brother of another Volturi Guard, Jane.

Don’t let their young appearance fool you. Alec is equally as powerful as her twin sister. Other than his basic vampire abilities (e.g. superhuman strength speed and agility, heightened senses, and tough, granite hard skin) he has the ability to cut off a person’s senses. He can make a person blind, deaf, mute, and numb to any feeling he wanted. He can paralyze one’s senses, which is unlike his twin sister, who has the ability to to inflict an illusion of pain. His power appears as a hazy, misty form when he uses it. He may look innocent but he is a deadly opponent. Jane

Jane is the twin sister of Alec and is one of the members of the Volturi Guard.

Volturi Guards is a group of powerful and gifted vampires. The members have been chosen by the Volturi members to ensure their stature in the vampire and also to protect themselves from other covens who also want dominance power. When a vampire is invited into the group, the leaders use Chelsea’s power to manipulate relationship to make them feel contented about joining the said coven.

Marcus

Marcus is one of the three leaders who created and founded a group of vampires who are considered the royal family in the vampire world. Other leaders include Caius and Aro.

Marcus has the ability to recognize relationships. He sees the strength of the relationships between people. Twilight series author Stephenie Meyer describe: Marcus’ ability: “Marcus gift is actually quite valuable in the hands of someone who knows how to use it. For example, imagine Marcus on the battle field. He sees the binding ties between the enemy the guard faces. He can tell who the leader is just by watching the way the others are tied to him or her. He can see how to destroy the resistance simply by picking off a few key people. He doesn’t just see romantic relationships, but also ties of family and friends, loyalty and devotion. He can tell if any given person would die for another. Off the field of battle (as the Volturi rarely leave their home), Marcus’s gift is valuable politically (for lack of a better word). It’s an amazing gift in a diplomatic situation. Plus, when you’re sitting on an empire, it’s nice to be able to see when someone’s loyalty starts wavering. Or if anyone is getting too fond of anyone else. Can you see the potential now? Marcus didn’t get where he is with some fluff skill.”

Caius

Caius is one of the three leaders and founders of an organized coven of vampires named Volturi. Unlike the two other leaders, Aro, who has the ability to the read thoughts a person has ever had once there is physical contant, and Marcus, who has the ability to recognize or sense relationships, Caius has no known special power. He has only basic vampire skills: superhuman strength and speed, and vastly enhanced senses.

Aro

Aro is one of the three leaders of Volturi; Caius and Marcus are the other two. He is somewhat appear as the overall leader of the Volturi. He is exceptionally gifted. Other than his inherent vampire super abilities like superhuman strength and speed, and extremely enhanced senses, he has the supernatural ability to read everyone else’s thoughts and minds by simple touching them. His powers are even stronger than that of Edward Cullen’s because he can read every thought a person has ever thought of. But his powers have also its limitations. For his powers to work, physical contact is needed because he can’t read thoughts through a distance. He was born around 1300 B.C.
